Through the medium of an article explaining the mechanism of monetary policy, I sought to understand the significance of the Reserve Banks decision to lower the cash rate, while exploring its targets in supporting economic recovery. The style of a newspaper article has been used to draw attention to its significance to Australians while explaining the significance of each aspect of monetary policy in achieving the Reserve Banks objectives of full employment, economic stability and welfare of Australians.
